Synopsis:
Animal activists invade a laboratory with the intention of releasing chimpanzees that are undergoing experimentation, infected by a virus -a virus that causes rage. The naive activists ignore the pleas of a scientist to keep the cages locked, with disastrous results. Twenty-eight days later, our protagonist, Jim, wakes up from a coma, alone, in an abandoned hospital. He begins to seek out anyone else to find London is deserted, apparently without a living soul. After finding a church, which had become inhabited by zombie like humans intent on his demise, he runs for his life. Selena and Mark rescue him from the horde and bring him up to date on the mass carnage and horror as all of London tore itself apart. This is a tale of survival and ultimately, heroics, with nice subtext about mankind's savage nature......

Synopsis:
As previously mentioned, the film is edited in a non-linear manner. The following is a linear, chronological summary of the plot:
Jack Jordan (Benicio del Toro) is a former convict who is using his new-found religious faith to recover from drug addiction and alcoholism.

Paul Rivers (Sean Penn) is a mathematics professor with a fatal heart condition. Unless he receives a new heart from an organ donor, he will have less than one month to live. Paul's wife (Charlotte Gainsbourg) wants him to donate his sperm so she can have his baby, even if he dies. The two are civil to one another, yet distant.
Cristina Peck (Naomi Watts) is also a recovering drug addict, and now lives a normal suburban life with a supportive husband and two children. She is a loving mother and active swimmer, who has left her days of drugs and booze behind.
These three separate stories/characters become tied together one evening when Jack kills Cristina's husband and children in a hit-and-run accident. Her husband's heart is donated to Paul, who begins his recovery.
Cristina is devastated by the loss and returns to drugs (2CB and ketamine) and alcohol. Paul is eager to begin normal life again, but he hesitantly agrees to his wife's idea of surgery and artificial insemination as a last-ditch effort to get pregnant. During consultations with a doctor before the surgery, Paul learns that his wife had undergone an abortion after they had separated in the past. Angered, Paul ends the relationship. He becomes very inquisitive about whose heart he has. He learns from a source that the heart belonged to Cristina's husband, and begins to follow the widowed Cristina around town......

Synopsis:
The town of Barrow, Alaska is preparing for its annual "30 Days of Night", a period during the winter in which the sun will not be seen for a month: some inhabitants leave for Fairbanks or other parts south. As the town gets ready, the Stranger (Ben Foster) rows ashore from a large ship. Once in Barrow, he sets about sabotaging the town (stealing and burning cell phones, killing all the sled dogs) in the belief that the vampires will make him one of them if he helps them with their plans.
Barrow's sheriff, Eben Oleson (Josh Hartnett) investigates these crimes. As he does so, he learns that his estranged wife, Stella Oleson (Melissa George), missed the last plane out of town and will have to spend the 30 day period in Barrow. Although they try to avoid one another, when Eben confronts the Stranger in the town diner, Stella helps subdue him and take him to the station house.
From the jail cell, the Stranger taunts Eben, Stella, Eben's teenage brother, Jake (Mark Rendall) and grandmother, telling them that death is coming for them. Just then, vampires attack the local telecommunications center and power supply, rendering the town dark and cut off from the outside world. Eben goes to the telecommunications center and finds a trail of blood leading to a pole which the operator's head is on. He and Stella then go through town, warning all the residents to lock themselves indoors and load all weapons.....

Synopsis:
The film begins with Emil Slovak (Karel Roden) and Oleg Razgul (Oleg Taktarov) arriving in America. They were former criminals and after getting out of prison have come to the US to claim their part of a bank heist in Russia (or somewhere in the Czech Republic). Within minutes of arriving, Oleg steals a video camera. They go to the run down apartment of their old partner Milos (Vladimir Mashkov) and demand their share. He does not have it so Emil stabs him and his wife to death as Oleg tapes it with his new camera. The neighbor girl witnesses it but she escapes before they can get her too. To hide the crime, Emil burns down the apartment.
Jordy Warsaw (Edward Burns) is an arson investigator and is called to the case right away. Eddie Flemming (Robert De Niro) is a very famous detective who is also called to the scene. Flemming is such a high profile celebrity detective that he is even followed around by the local tabloid TV show Top Story. Everywhere he goes, the townspeople cheer him on. Flemming and Warsaw decide to help each other out and work the case together. While checking out the crowd outside, Warsaw spots a girl (the neighbor) trying to get his attention. When he finally gets to where she was, she is gone......

Synopsis:
Jack Mosley is recording a message to "Diane", as he wants her to know what really happened. Jack is an alcoholic, burned-out NYPD detective. After working all night, his lieutenant asks him to escort a witness to the courthouse, which is 16 blocks away. The witness will be testifying in front of a grand jury, but the jury is set to be dismissed at 10 a.m., which gives them 118 minutes (almost two hours) to get there.
The witness is Eddie Bunker, a chatterbox who quickly gets on Jack's nerves. They get stuck in traffic, so Jack goes into a nearby liquor store, where he buys a bottle and takes a drink. Left in the back-seat, Eddie is voicing his displeasure to no one in particular when a man with a gun appears. He is shot dead by Jack, who is then shot at by the dead assailant's partner. Jack manages to run him over.
Jack and Eddie go to a nearby bar, one that Jack is familiar with. Jack kicks everybody out of the bar including the owner, then calls the station for backup. Jack's ex-partner, homicide detective Frank Nugent and several other cops come into the bar. Frank tries to get Jack to let him have Eddie, but Jack does not agree, sensing something is not right with the situation. Frank explains to Jack that Eddie is about to testify against a (dirty) cop, who will in turn testify against many others to save himself. Frank takes Jack's gun away, and hands it to one of his guys. The gun gets wiped clean, and placed into Eddie's hand. Eddie is forced to fire a shot from Jack's gun, and is about to get executed when Jack takes the bar owner's double-barrel shotgun and shoots the cop (who was about to kill Eddie) in the legs. Jack takes Eddie and goes out the back door. Frank, really angry but still maintaining his poise, calls in more backups to find Jack and Eddie, claiming that Jack snapped and has started shooting at cops.......
